Last Saturday Night with iDriveYourCar
It’s 4:30 pm, Saturday afternoon, and you’re getting ready to go in for a big night in New York City. The doorbell rings, and it’s your iDriveYourCar chauffeur service, standing by, ready to drive you in the comfort of your car. First stop, dinner. You give him the cross streets, and away you go. Your friends ask the driver to put on some tunes, and it’s off to the city.
You arrive right outside of the restaurant, and a he’s pulling the car right up to the door, your chauffeur gives you his cell phone number so you can reach him as soon as you’re ready to leave. After a delicious meal at a swank Mario Batali joint, you call your chauffeur only to find he’s already waiting right outside the door. Next stop, Madison Square Garden.
It is a true mob-scene, with throngs of people pouring out of the streets and subways into the main gate. Your chauffeur carefully maneuvers his way through the 7th avenue traffic, and you find yourself magically in front of the gate. You let your driver know where you’d like to be picked, and stroll up to the turn-styles in true VIP fashion. Game on.
After a spirited yet ultimately unsuccessful night for the Knicks, you walk outside of MSG and call your chauffeur. He pulls up to curb directly outside of the exit, opens the doors, and whisks you away from the crowds. Is the night over? Usually yes, but with the convenience of the having a chauffeur, why not visit your friend’s party on 72nd and Amsterdam? You tell the driver, and 8 minutes later, you’re outside of their apartment.
After a bit of Pictionary and some laughs, it’s time for bed. Long night. You walk downstairs, and your car is waiting, with the heat on, and the radio off. Peace. At some point on the West Side Highway, your eyes get heavy, and you doze in bliss about the night that was. A bit later, you feel the car slowing down, and you are home, sweet home.
